May is Military Appreciation Month

The Month of May is Military Appreciation Month.  Throughout the month,
across the country, communities recognize currently serving members of the
Armed Forces, veterans, and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect
and serve a great nation.  During the month, as a country we also support
military spouses and those in public service that support our men and women
wearing the uniform.  Public Service Recognition Week is May 3rd -9th and
Military Spouse Appreciation Day is Friday, May 8th.  Throughout the Month
of May, the Soldier & Family Readiness Specialists will be interviewing
military spouses and we will be spotlighting their support in our
newsletter.  For our federal and state employees as well as our military
spouses, thank you for everything that you do to support the mission of the
Wisconsin National Guard.
