Emergency Family Assistance Centers
If there is a large scale natural or man-made disaster, emergency family assistance centers are staffed with unit leaders, family assistance specialists, volunteers, and other trained professionals to work with service members and their families in impacted areas.
If there is a localized event (tornado, ice storm, bridge collapse, flooding, fire, potential terrorist attack, etc.), emergency family assistance services are provided by the Family Assistance Centers (FACs) and the American Red Cross. FACs can be contacted at 1-800-292-9464, option 1. Find the closest American Red Cross Chapter here.
Are you prepared for a natural or man-made disaster?

Army and Air Force Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assessment Systems
When a natural or man-made disaster strikes, anyone can be a victim. No matter how much a Wisconsin National Guard Airman, Soldier, or family member has prepared for a disaster, anyone can find themselves in need of assistance after a catastrophic event.
To ensure the safety of all members of the Wisconsin National Guard, Soldiers and Airmen are encouraged to become familiar with the Army Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (ADPAAS) or Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (AFPAAS) and familiarize their family members on the process. These tools are designed to assess and monitor the recovery process for Soldiers, Airmen, and their family members affected by a disaster.
