The new Worker, Homeownership and Business Assistance Act of 2009 features a $6,500 tax credit for long-term homeowner with a signed purchase agreement before April 30, 2011 and was a veteran who served overseas between Jan. 1 2009 and April 30, 2010. Transaction must be signed by April 30, 2011 and close before June 30, 2011.
